I managed to spend most of the day on the roof in an effort to get the new STL dish hung. This transmitter antenna is what carries our signal from this building to our transmitter in Belleville where it gets turned into FM. The signal which feeds this dish is only 2 watts, or about the power of a nightlight. This tiny bit of power is enough to carry our program audio the 15 miles to our 400 foot tower in farmer Mario's pasture.
The new Turntables for the mix station in the Main Studio have been installed. There are 2 new black Technics SL1210M5G's, which are the mac-daddy of the Technics SL1200 line. These join the two Stanton turntables which are direct connected to the radio console. The Technics turntables are connected to a Rane TTM56 crossfade mixer in the WSUM Main Studio.
